Carl Edwards Finishes Talladega On Foot After Last Lap Crash

Say what you will about NASCAR, but all those last minute yellows for "debris on the track" do make for close finishes. This weekend's race at the infamous Talledega tri-oval was another close one that came down to a last lap duel between leader Carl Edwards and draftee Brad Keselowski. It was NASCAR at its best and most dramatic.

Restrictor plate racing has got to go. May the best car/driver/team win! Faster cars/drivers should be able to pull away from slower ones. "Artificial" racing sucks.

Ricky Bobby would be proud of Carl.

Not only the restrictor plate needs to go.

The entire idea of the phony "manufacturer" race cars needs to be abandoned.

Let the teams and manufacturers race with real cars. Give them 20 gallons of regular (and let that be done by track sponsorhip by the oil companies, to see some real improvements in fuel too), and let them build cars to race on Sunday and buy on Monday.
