Yesterday, Motor Trend reported that the Cadillac Converj concept had been approved for production.
Today, Cadillac officially denied the report to Inside Line News. "There is no change to the status of Converj," said Cadillac spokesman David Caldwell. "It is a concept -- a proposal -- and it's being reviewed, and the review is not completed."

I find this car very interesting, but given the current and near future status of the economy and the fact that this car shares its mechanicals and technology with the (not so inexpensive) $35-40K Chevy Volt, I dont see the point in even considering offering a Caddilac version that will be even more expensive. This should be one of the last projects GM should be worried about.

Here's a random thought...
People think well of high priced vehicles like the Tesla Roadster and Sedan. For a limited run vehicle, people might be willing to pay for the technology if they get luxury too.

It's not that hot looking.
Its waist is square and wide. It's not sleek and sexy.

Although it's a tad too late - this should have been the CTS coupe, not that AMC AMX looking thing they're about to unleash on the public.

I like it - cooler looking the Volt and still distinctly Cadillac.
