So how did Porsche get its new Panamera up to the 94th floor of the Shanghai World Financial Center for the sedan's world debut? By the collective will of the Communist people of course. Oh, and one particularly large freight elevator helped too.

Those are some wild pictures.
I wouldn't call that freight elevator particularly large though.

I'v dealt with a number of Chinese companies and lots of Chinese people in the past few years. There is nothing Communist about them other then a handful of aging leaders that still hold on to the government.
Should be very interesting to see what happens over the next generation.

China has more economic freedom than we do, but far less political freedom. And that is still a very important distinction.
It's quite ironic though that a communist controlled government now allows its citizens more economic autonomy than us. That is why business is booming over there and stagnating here. But I don't expect our citizenry and supposed leaders to take any of that into account any time soon.

insane. So the car is strapped to a board and pulled up vertically?
That's positively nutballs.

don;t forget that there's no free press in china! there's still secret police everywhere, if you say the wrong thing you will get thrown out of the country or worse...
and there's millions of underpaid migrant workers that have NO rights & are treated like shit! that's where china is saving on wages... that's where our middle class is being exported, and we are left with no middle class & a dying society...
