Though we reported yesterday
that the 2010 BMW X5 M
won't officially debut until the 2009 Shanghai Auto Show
, BMW has quietly released more photos.
And it turns out that the X5 M has the same 20-inch wheels as the X6 M. Similarly, the front seating areas are indistinguishable. So as on the non-Motorsport versions, the differences come down to sheet metal, seat count and cargo capacity. You already know our preference.

Notice how this is not the MX5 but rather an X5 M. A departure from the normal M3 and M5 naming system.

Yeah, I guess because there's a Mazda MX-5 and MX-6 :D

Now here's the pseudo M5 wagon you mentioned in the article about the X6.

Yawn! why bother? I don't know where BMW is going with these crossover/suv/wagon vehicles. How about a 1 series sedan, or wagon?

If I had the money and was a German citizen this would be the car I'd drive.

so, i used to work at BMW as a car wash guy back in 2005. When I first started working there, we had a 1st Gen X5 with an M on the back. What was that!?! was it a M body kit? I dont know. But what i do know is that it was sold within 2 weeks of workin there

This is so aftermarket ugly.
