#NYIAS We've already written an entertaining and detailed yarn on the 2010 Mercedes-Benz E63 AMG. Now, we've just seen the sedan in full glory under a zillion fluorescent lights in New York's Javits Center. Diane Reeves, the Grammy-winning jazz singer, paid tribute to the new E-Class with her song "Better Than Anything."
Apparently, the 2010 E-Class is better than anything except being in love, especially the E63 AMG with its 518 hp, 465 lb-ft of torque and claimed 4.5-second 0-60 time. Discuss.
Also, we now know that the E63 goes on sale in the fall of 2009, likely September. -- Erin Riches, Senior Editor

Nice but no CTS-V beater with those numbers and we all know it will be thousands more than the CTS.

The last E63 was a fast car, however its driving dynamics trailed the pack.
The new cars dynamics from what Ive read are much better in terms of feel and actual performance so it should put up a good fight.
What Im waiting for is the Audi RS6 and BMW's new M5. Im willing to bet BMW uses a twin turbo 5.2L V10 similar to the current RS6 thats not available here. With the Cadillac CTS-V holding the crown Im sure the rest of the Germans wont sit still long.

I'm still bummin' about the "pedestrian safety standards" and what they are doing to M-B styling. I don't care how you try to slice it -- THAT'S A HIGH HOOD LINE.

What were they thinking with the rear end? The exhaust pipes look terrible and the tail-lights look cheap. I prefer the previous version...or the new CTS-V.
