#NYIAS Though the 2009 Nissan Nismo 370Z first saw the light of day (well, the first official light of day) at the Morrell Wine Bar, we couldn't resist the favorable lighting conditions in the Nissan booth today at New York's Javits Center. We've got video, too. --Erin Riches, Senior Editor

No it's not a "turn key race car" - and Edmunds itself has said so.
As delivered, the car will only do a handful of laps on a racetrack in hot conditions before the engine fails over to limp-home mode.
The Z needs more cooling for the engine, as well as a differential cooler. Both have been shown on the Z before (on press cars at introduction of the basic Z), and were suppossed to be available from Nismo parts at some future point.
So where are they, and how practical would they be for street-driven Zs?
One other big problem is the lack of camber adjustment for the front suspension. A set of aftermarket upper arms allowing that is about 900 bucks for the old Z - and is not yet available for this one.
So this is a track car? Not this one. Not yet.
