#NYIAS We have always thought that the standard GMC Yukon Hybrid was a little down market. Sure it carries a base price of nearly $51,000, but for that price you only get so much chrome for your dollar.
Thankfully, this year's New York auto show saw the introduction of the 2009 GMC Yukon Denali Hybrid. For a mere $59,185, you can ride high on chrome 22s and in ventilated leather seats while showing your commitment to conserving our natural resources. Now that's professional grade. -- Ed Hellwig, Lead Senior Editor, Inside Line

You could get two Priuses for one of these.

This GMC hybrid makes far less sense than the upcoming MB or Porsche hybrids. At least Mercedes, Porsche are giving us low end, affordable hybrids to go head to head with Prius. What is GM thinking?

Profits first, what customers really want second.

1487, I know youre being sarcastic, however Porsche and Mercedes are high end car manufacturers, GMC is not.

Honda:
Spare me the excuses. The bottom line is that all of the vehicles I mentioned are nowhere near as efficient as a Prius. GMC is not a luxury brand but the Yukon Denali is a very expensive premium SUV that has been around for almost ten years. Basically what you are saying its that hybrids that get 20mpg are only OK if they are put out by German manufacturers.
