What Does a $310,000 BMW M3 Look Like?

It looks like the Brabham Racing BT92. The name might sound familiar, but Jack Brabham had nothing to do with it. This modified version of the E92 M3 was built by Michael Trick and an overqualified team of engineers. It's a nearly race-spec car with 494-horsepower on tap and a curb weight of 3,142 pounds.

Contributor Matt Davis took it for a spin to find out if it's worth the price. It's not, of course, but it's still fun to see what can be done with a big budget and one of the best sportscars in the world as a starting point.

I bet it's a fantastic car, the regular M3 is already awesomely quick and powerful, but come on, $310,000?! At that price, there are a whole slew of other cars that also happen to be fantastic. I guess that’s why they are only making 50 of them.

Just for comparison her are the numbers on a
Porsche 911 Turbo:
Horsepower: 480
0-60: 3.7 seconds
Top speed: 193 mph
PRICE: $130,000

Exclusivity is gonna cost you $180k.

Now THAT is just nuts. What a machine. $310,000 is pushing it. But what a machine!

Isn't that orange and grey Lambo recently shown cheaper? And much faster?
Same thing for the Ferrari F430.
Not to mention this M3 looks like any BMW 3 with a nicely applied body kit.

Looks like about 270,000 too ugly.

I can poop in a box and charge a million for it, doesn't mean it still isn't a big turd.
