Sure, our governor might be pushing for CO2 caps and all that nonsense, but when it comes to his own personal transportation, he does not mess around.
No Prius, no hydrogen-fueled Hummer.
Nope, Arnold bought himself a Challenger. And not just any Challenger, a 6.1-liter, 420-horsepower SRT8 Challenger. Nice Arnold, nice.

He was the Terminator long before he got to play the role of Governor. You gotta stick with the image that suits you best.
He's just not a Prius guy.

It's still LEV-II.
6.1-liters doesn't put out much pollution.
It consumes gas, which gives people jobs, but it ain't polluting the air.
So if you can afford the gas, go ahead and buy a gas guzzler, cuz the tailpipe is clean.
It's no dirty diesel.

P.S. I don't believe in CO2. Go plant more trees. CO2 is simply food for another creature.
Maybe scientists can quit wasting their brain powers debating, and just use it to build a solar powered super tree that wholesale converts CO2 into glucose. Why not. Can't be that hard if they got all that brain power to waste.

I cant see Arnold driving either car as the Prius is a bit "wimpy" for him and the Challenger isnt polished enough. In my eyes, he's more of a Mercedes CL65 AMG kinda' guy.

im convinced people will always complain about something. if he got a prius or another hybrid they'd say support detroit. now that he's supporting detroit, they're going to say he's not green. no one ever wins, this isn't a perfect world

"P.S. I don't believe in CO2. Go plant more trees. CO2 is simply food for another creature."
That's only sort of true. Trees use large amounts of CO2 when they are growing but they release it all when they die and rot. Basically they are CO2 neutral over their life cycle.
Not a big deal really though. Life is basically carbon neutral. Burning fossil fuels just releases CO2 that was once in the air anyhow. The only problem is the rate we are releasing it.
What effect that has is the debate. I think it has little effect but right now it's very popular to blame everything change in the climate everywhere on something man made.
No one wants to blame God or Mother Nature.
billt9 says:
02:24 PM, 03/25/09
Well then, we simply have to engineer the Super Tree to have edible fruits and leaves. So the carbon molecules are consumed by animals like us and used up.
I propose a Papa John's tree. Oh heavenly...

Prius' (Prii?) get absolutely awesome gas mileage. But from every review I've seen, they are awful in almost every other aspect.
As long as he's working for the better good and making other changes in his life, i.e. recycling, changing to the new light bulbs (that send your kids to the hospital if you break them), etc., then good for him.
Unless you live in the forrest wearing dead leaves for clothes and feeding off of already dead plants and animals, then you are not nearly as green as you think you are. So I don't want to hear the complaints!!!
Go Detroit muscle!

American? Chrysler's new largest share holder is an Arab investing company (previously German), and almost all of their Engines and some of their bodies are made in Mexico or Canada. Real American. Not a single Chrysler product is on the top 10 domestic composition list, which includes the Camry.
Anyways, sorry, it is a very nice looking ride, but its hypocrisy at its best!

Such is the norm for California. The ruling class liberal elite live their opulent lives of over-consumption and extravagance while repressing the plebeian masses with their strict and arbitrary social and environmental agenda.

Ain't that a switch?
In the past you had to buy some over priced luxury car or over powered sports car if you wanted to drive around saying "look at me I'm better then you".
Now you can be a dork and save some money at the pumps.

Except all the money you saved plus thousands more will be spent on the high purchase price, high financing costs, high insurance costs, and high maintenance costs compared to a rational, conventional car.

You're forgetting an important component wrt country of origin. The Camry may have more US sourced parts, but nearly 100% of its engineering is done in Japan. Chrysler, Ford, and GM do almost all of their engineering work here in the United States. Buying a Chrysler, GM, or Ford vehicle supports American engineers.
