President Obama's motorcade passed by Tesla's West Los Angeles dealership yesterday, and never one to miss a promotional opportunity, Tesla distributed a photo of the occasion.
There's no official word from the White House whether or not President Obama was actually in that specific motorcade as decoys are often used, but the photo does prove that it was possible that the President may have seen the Tesla showroom.
Tesla is currently awaiting a Department of Energy decision on how it will dole out funds to businesses that promote clean energy. One possible hurdle is the DOE's requirement that any business in the running for the loans must prove that it's sustainable prior to receiving the money.
