Mazda released this photo and a brief description of the mildly revised 2010 CX-9 this morning.
According to the teaser release, the CX-9 "receives an exterior and interior facelift, added options and reinforced safety features, while further improving Zoom-Zoom driving characteristics."
We're not sure what that last part entails, but we'll be sure to get clarification when the 2010 CX-9 makes its debut at the 2009 New York Auto Show next month.

I used to like Mazdas, until they started ruining them, one by one.

It's like the creepy guy at the coffee shop that just stares and smiles at you. Makes you just want to leave.
Hopefully it won't have the same effect on customers.

I don't like the front spoilers going on the CX-9 and CX-7... sure makes being an "SUV" even more pointless.
And this is a very strange debut color... turquoise?
I'm sure the interior's a nicer place to be...

Oh no. That stupid smiley face. Do they really think it looks good? Someone over there needs to tell the chief stylist that the Emperor has no clothes, and fast. Zoom-zoom could quickly devolve into Ha-ha.

The CX-9 has grown old and wise and grew a beard.
Now he's smiling because he just dyed it black.

Looks more station-wagon-y than before.... And, if the lower smiley-thing is there, do they really need the extra opening above it for ventilation? Why not sculpt it into a nose so the car truly has a face?

Someone is 'Killing Mazda Softly' with these grill/front end treatments.

Although I liked the CX-9 and 7 when they first debuted their trendy styling even with these updates havent aged well. Reminds me of how the first generation Infiniti FXs look so old now.

I liked the first gen CX7 and CX9 but this honestly just kills it for me. This styling theme works for the 3 because it makes it look low and fast, but with larger cars it just makes them look like minivans.
It's alright on the CX9 (probably looks better in black) but on the CX7 it is hideous.
The 6 and RX8 are Mazda's only great looking cars now, and that's coming from a fanboy.

I'm also pissed that they copied the ugly twenty billion spoke wheel form the toyota corolla. THE OTHER WHEELS WERE FINE!

If none of you like it, just change the bumper. That's all that it is.. a new bumper. Fenders are the same.

I dunno. This BIG smiling lower grill thing is getting a bit overdone...to say the least.

That's not the point cx7lover. This is truely taking away from the respect I (and apparently many others) have for Mazda. I shouldn't have to spend that kind of money to completely change the bumpers of a car. It's not like it'll be a $50 swap. That stuff is expensive! Not to mention I can''t think of many companies out there that have replacements. Now would definitely be the time to come out with some though.

I'm experiencing a deja vu. Last time it was when I saw the grille of the new acura tl. yuck. anyone who's thought of buying a CX-9 should buy it now before this uglier "refreshed" version hits the dealerships.
