Mitsubishi Lancer Evo X Will Skip '09 Model Year Due to Late Start in '08

Don't worry, Congress hasn't outlawed cool cars just yet. Although there will be no 2009 Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution X, the 2010 model will be here this summer.

Mitsubishi made the decision late last year after realizing that the 2008 model's late start would mean a shortened production run for 2009. Like every other manufacturer, Mitsubishi's sales are slow, so top management saw no need to schedule the short production year.
