Just when we were beginning to wonder if the compact 2009 Audi Q5
crossover would ever get to the U.S., Audi announced pricing today and confirmed that 2009 Q5s will arrive at U.S. dealership next week. The 2009 Q5 Premium will cost $38,025, including an $825 destination charge.
The not very elegantly named Q5 Premium Plus comes in at $42,325, while the high-line 2009 Audi Q5 Prestige will cost you $49,025. Quattro all-wheel-drive is standard on all three versions of the Q5.
Every U.S.-spec Audi Q5 will have a directed-injected, 3.2-liter gasoline V6 rated for 270 horsepower and a six-speed automatic transmission. Its EPA rating is 18 mpg city/23 mpg highway.

I've already sat in this car and played with it at the autoshow. Dealer's cars have already made landfall.
But with a tier 2 luxury brand like Audi, I was expecting pricing competitive with the RDX, $34k-$37k. I suppose it's got a stronger engine though. And it's not as ugly.
The GLK350 is also $34k+. The X3 is $38k+.

Wow, I would think with Audi trying to compete with M-B and BMW that their pricing would undercut those guys a little more. Even the Land Rover LR2 is cheaper and has six cylinders too. In the post underneath this one the new 2010 Lexus RX is cheaper (and larger) than this Q5! Audi cut the price by a couple thousand and then maybe I'll consider it. BMW inflates their prices so you're paying for the brand, but you don't have the brand perception... not a smart move in a already struggling market.

if it were bigger then maybe the price would be worth it, but its just to expensive.
At first i thought they were for some reason leaving room for something smaller called a 13 but this thing is small enough.
