Spy Photos: 2012 Porsche Boxster

boxster1-750.jpg

Much like Death Valley in August, January in the Arctic Circle is prime time prototype testing season. First we saw the Porsche 911, then the Mercedes-Benz CLS, and now the 2012 Porsche Boxster has hit the streets.

Does it look any different? Not really, but there's some speculation that this Boxster could usher in a new engine configuration that would help Porsche meet the more stringent U.S. fuel economy standards looming in its future.

Am I missing something here? Turbo Boxster? What makes Edmunds think the '12 will be a Turbo?

Perhaps they heard a turbo spooling in the prototype....or Edmunds mislabelled the link.

Nah, if you read the link they mention the next Boxster may have a turbo 4.

Does anybody else think that these "spy photos" of cars are pretty ridiculous. I mean...it looks like a boxster with some electrical tape on it.

Who takes these pictures? Who spends their time hiding out in the snow with a long lense to "capture" this shot? I don't understand.

Re: coletrickle
I imagine the same freaks that will camp out to take shots of a movie star for weeks to get an exclusive. At least stalking cars is a little better than stalking people. Ah, ha, ha!
