Good Days and Bad Days in the Nissan GT-R

cop-555.jpg

It's no secret that we have a thing for the Nissan GT-R. We flew to Japan to conduct the world's first test, shelled out our own money to buy one for our long-term fleet, and have stood by patiently when it was in the shop.

Needless to say, we've had our good days and bad days, but one of them have been quite as extreme as these two examples of GT-R yin and yang.

Good GT-R days don't get much better than the event Sean Morris chronicled in his video from Buttonwillow Raceway. There were a dozen R35s in attendance and their owners weren't timid about finding the Nissan's limits. It's a good example of what can happen when people use their heads and wallets in a proper manner.

On the flip side, drive the GT-R a little beyond its limits and there's always the possibility of something like this happening. According to www.wreckedexotics.com, this mangled GT-R had all of 500 miles on the clock before it was destroyed in a high-speed head-on collision. Careful out there.
