#DAS09 Executives from Subaru told Inside Line that the Subaru Legacy Concept that debuted today at the 2009 Detroit Auto Show will go into production later this year as the 2010 Subaru Legacy. They said to expect few changes from what we saw on the show stand. We'll try to dig up more details, but expect to see the next-generation Legacy in dealers by the fall. -- Ed Hellwig, Senior Editor, Inside Line

Is Subaru planning a Wagon version of the Legacy?
Currently Subaru builds Legacy Wagon in Indiana and sells it in Canada but not the U.S..

I don't think it looks that bad, I think if you killed the chrome paint it would be it would be easier to appreciate. Throw in a 5th seat while keeping as many as the luxuries in the back as you can.
I don't think Subaru is planing a wagon version, that is what the outback is for. The legacy is the sedan the outback is the wagon.

Why is the Legacy the Wagon and the Sedan and the Outback is the Wagon too in Canada and not the U.S.?
Outback is goofy looking. If I wanted Outback capability I'd buy the Forester.

Actually, this is the best looking Subaru in a long time.
The chrome paint tends to make the vehicle look more exotic than it will likely be in production. Hints of the Nissan Altima and and the old Acura Integra (and that is not a bad thing). Although this appears to be a much larger vehicle.
Happy to see Subaru continuing to move upwards in size - but need to see a comparable upgrade in power.
