Volkswagen somehow manages to attend SEMA without getting too overwhelmed by SEMA. Its concepts are always classy, understated and inherently buildable, which is essentially the exact opposite of every other vehicle on the show floor. Hence the large crowd around the CC Eco Performance Concept.
It basically a CC with a lowering kit, 20-inch wheels and big, four-piston brakes. It also has black chrome exterior trim, a full body kit and aftermarket paint. Nothing special really except for the fact that it's all done so tastefully that you might want to actually own such a CC.
The topper is the engine. It has a Stage 3 APR turbo that bumps the output of the 2.0T four-cylinder to as much as 311 horsepower and 313 pound-feet of torque. There's an Eco mode that drops power to 222-hp and 236 lb-ft but boosts fuel economy to 33 highway/ 27 city according to APR. No reason to doubt that. I mean EPA, APR; what's the difference, right?

Their concepts have some seriously high-boost turbos.

I actually had the chance to sit in a CC (2.0T) this past weekend. Very nice car but Id go for the Passat instead. Far more practicle, cheaper, roomier and better looking in my opinion.

cc must be the best looking sedan out there. I mean seriously, is there anything even remotely as gorgeous as it?
