One of the unique elements of the L.A. auto show is the Porsche display. Instead of occupying some corner of a big hall, Porsche always sets up shop in its own small venue just off the main corridor. You walk in one door, through the display, and out the other side, kind of like an amusement park ride. They call it the Porsche Experience, and it usually lives up to the name. Here's a quick tour of this year's setup.
Just past the entrance is a large wall display that shows the sights and sounds of Porsche cars past and present.
This year's display featured a beautiful 550 Spyder owned by a certain Porsche lover named Jerry Seinfeld.
Ever wonder how all those complicated parts buried beneath the skin of a 911 work? This display tries to break it all down. It still looks complicated though.
There's plenty of floor space for all the models. The new Boxster and Cayman took center stage this year.
You can't really have a true Porsche display without a racecar of some sort.
On the way out, there's a store so you can stop and buy what might be the only thing you'll ever own made by Porsche.
