Next-gen Mazdaspeed3 caught

For Mazda3 fans, the upcoming LA show is both good news and bad news. The good is that the all-new Mazda3 will debut. The bad news is the all-new Mazdaspeed3 will be MIA.

Not sure exactly when the new Speed3 will debut (could be next year?), so in the meantime some teaser spy photos will just have to do.

Meh, I don't like this new trend towards tiny, chopped-looking windows. Visibility will likely be a lot worse.
You can see a family resemblance to the new 6, though.

I hope they do something about the turbo-lag, torque steer, and drop-off above 5k rpm. Maybe some AWD while they're at it? (Pretty please?)

Small windows bad, but the rest looks good. Give it about 300 hp, AWD, and the ability to kick the tail out a bit, and it will be #2 on my short list. Mazda, thanks for making the non-rich driving enthusiasts of the world happy.
