It seems everyone--except many in the automotive press--absolutely LUV the tiny Smart car. Now that word that Brabus-prepped model is heading Stateside, maybe even the press (indcluding Edmunds editors) will join the Smart LoveFest. The 98-hp micro-sportster is expected to go on sale in February. No word yet on pricing.

If you think the Brabus Smart is neat, check out the Hayabusa-powered Smart. Now THAT's cool!

Does the Brabus come with the awful transmission, though?

Of course it does, um I mean...

How dare you criticize the transmission. You clearly don't understand how to properly utilize the true capabilities of the vehicle. If you drove the thing correctly, you'd realize it's a superior transmission.

Yea, that's it. :)

Id easily take a Civic Si, Cobalt SS, Mini Cooper S, GTI, MazdaSpeed3 over a pumped up Smart. Hell Id rather get a Honda Fit Sport and buy the AWESOME KraftWerks supercharger kit.

Keep in mind the video is not the Brabus model.

Still, 98hp ought to move that little thing just fine. I bet it would actually be fun.
