Ah... the perfect blog entry for the weekend: that being one about the all-new Nissan 370Z convertible!
Inside Line has images and some info on this much anticipated car. Fans of the current model will feel right at home with this new one, as the apple has not fallen far from the tree so to speak, ether visually or mechanically. It's just more of the same--only much more and much better.
As you would expect by the name change, the VQ engine has been upped to 3.7 liters. Quite likely it shares the same state of tune of that found in the Infiniti G37. It's also available with a 6-speed manual or a 7-speed automatic. Unlike its Infiniti cousin, which comes in either RWD or AWD, this car (as in the past) will be RWD only.
The car will make its official debut next spring at the NY auto show.

Ive heard of a substantial decrease in weight due to the shorter wheelbase and other weight saving measures. Thats one thing that tunred me off about the current 350Z, its weight. A car that small shoudnt weight 3500lbs.

Nice!
I dislike the current Z. It's proportions always looked whack to me.
This new 370Z looks great. The tighter proportions and upgraded interior make all the difference. It looks like they took the current one and "corrected" it
exciting stuff!

I don't know. I'll have to see one in person.
From the pictures it looks a little odd and awkward to me.

They chopped Maxima features on the old one.
Looks OK, though.
