Nissan says the Nuvu Concept is its vision for the future of urban transportation, which indicates that some time in the future we will all be very, very silly.
The company has promised a production full-electric car (for fleet customers) in 2010. The Nuvu ain't it. There was a moment during the unveiling of this little three-seater when we honestly forgot we were in Paris. Surely this is the Tokyo show, no? No.
The Nuvu has two front seats and one rear seat and a large light-blue stalactite hanging down from the ceiling inside the cabin. Oh, no wait. We just checked the press release. That's not a stalactite. That's a "tree." We think even the spokesmodel paid to drive this electric car on stage was embarrassed.

Whoever designed this should stick to styling toasters. Also, the flat matte paint only exacerbates the ugliness. Yuck!

Looks like a prop at the Rainforest Cafe.
I'll take one home after dinner. $30 each?

Your Ferrari-branded Olympus camera sounds like it has some sort of intelligent self-protection mode. Too bad it doesn't work 100% of the time.

So in the future we'll drive cars with windows that don't go down?
Check out the shape of the window, then the door - no way could that window open.

Cars like this are more representative of the future than vehicles like the G8 or V6 Accord, like it or not. The road is full of vehicles that are now functionally obsolete. Whether or not journalists will approve is irrelevant.
