The article isn't as positive as I think it should be, but I'll give you credit for correcting the prior article. Thanks.

geez Edmunds the car is still under development.
They can change the software programming at anytime.
They can change it with recalls and TSBs even after the car has been released.

They'll tweak it back and forth until it's the most fuel/energy efficient it can be.
Both statements are iffy-true-false-iffy. You're trying to get a peep out of some clueless business guy while the engineers are still working on it.

Cue Dilbert.

I like how you call it a "Volt soap opera" when the drama has been created entirely by Edmunds.

It is Dilbert-ish.

Not so. Read the Inside line link which explains how this came about.

Anybody else see the danger of getting a 100 mpg rating? I see a lot of people complain about not getting the EPA estimates on their car. So much is going to depend on how individuals use the Volt that having a triple-digit mileage target is going to royally tick off someone who finds themselves getting "only" 50 mpg

Flyer is exactly right. The Volt will already have a shocking (pun intended, sorry) sticker price. Tack on a heavily overestimated mileage estimate and GM is looking at a real loser.

The public is already going to see the Volt as a double-priced Prius.
