Mazda will debut their Kiyora concept at the upcoming Paris Auto Show. The styling follows the flowing (think folded drapery) theme found on all recent Mazda concepts. Other than having a "next-generation" direct injection 4-cylinder engine, not much is known about what's under the skin.

Their latest concepts have been over-designed. In many cases I think their designs peaked one generation ago.

I wonder if this "next-generation" DI motor is naturally aspirated or if it's turbo like the current DISI.
And speaking of the current DISI, it's been out 3 years now. I've always wondered why they didn't remove the turbo and make just a NA DI motor. That'd give the Miata and the Mazda5 a much needed HP bump (I'm guessing the turbo hardware wouldn't fit in those two).

Mazda's best incarnation of this wind language has to be the Furai. That thing was sweet!
