That's is close. I guess it's not just the Chinese who copy cars.

The Nissan does look better though. I think it's just the line from the hood, under the windows and into the trunk is nice and straight while the Hyundia is warped.

Although the designs are quite similar I wouldnt call the Genesis a copy cat or a knockoff of the Infiniti coupe. The Hyundai coupes design is still somewhat unique.

Hondaacura4, have you seen the Hyundai's taillights? They are an obvious knock-off from the G. For the most part, the Hyundai looks pretty good except I'm quite dissappointed in the bottom edge of the headlights. From certain angles the front looks concave.

I used to own a 2004 G35 coupe so maybe I'm biased, but it is a gorgeous car and as they say, imitation is flattery. The Altima coupe is also very G-like, but with tiny, inset wheels, more awkwardness, and less refinement in the styling (ie, huge taillights).

I like aspects of both and the Genesis coupe looks pretty good from the side. From the front? Not even.

Both cars are nice looking in their own right but the Front end of the Genesis Coupe is just UGLY!!!

You know, it's funny how subject to comparisons Korean/Chinese manufacturers are. Go back a little less than a year, and spy shots of the Genesis Coupe were being compared to the likeness of the Ferrari 612 Scaglietti, now a G37 Coupe? At least the comparisons are getting more realistic...=)

It's no secret that Hyundai hasn't found a consistent design language for their cars, though they are becoming a lot more attractive and widely accepted, style-wise.

Regardless, I still maintain that Hyundai (even in these times of high gas prices) should create a version of this coupe with the 4.6L Tau V8, as long as it doesn't upset the balance of the car too much. Price it at $30k or less and I think you'd find more than a few people who could justify the lower fuel economy in exchange for 375+ HP at a disproportionate cost of entry.

Now, let's talk about reports that the Tau could be easily stroked to 5 or even 5.5L....a 400+HP Hyundai RWD Coupe? Hey, we didn't expect the Genesis Sedan, either....

By the way, at the 2007 LA Auto Show, Hyundai's VP of Product Development made the following quote:

"...we aim to deliver a driving experience that challenges cars like Infiniti G37, at prices more like Mitsubishi Eclipse."

So now I ask, is the likeness or comparison to the G37 a surprise to anyone?

from the profile, I prefer the genesis.

very similar but with very strong differances.

somethings just stand out. Esspically the 'fast back' look for the Genesis.

though I hate the back side windows on the genesis, the baby hump doesn't flow. And IMHO, the wheels on the G35 are better looking.

I like the orange color

Why does the top picture of a Honda Accord Coupe have a caption of "Infiniti G37"?
