Apple's new iPhone 3G has navigation

Not only does it have navigation, but it's faster and prices start at $199 for the 8GB model. The 16GB model goes for $299.

Apple claims its 3G speed will blow by the competition, with pageloads 36% faster than the N95 and Treo 750. Battery life is at 300 hours of standby, 8-10 hours of 2G talk, 5 hours of 3G talk, 7 hours of video and 24 hours of audio...
The new iPhone 3G will go on sale July 11.

The only downer that I see is that it is still sold exclusively through AT&T. The other question I have, if you're using the NAV in your car, and you get a phone call, do you lose the NAV feature while you're talking on the phone?

UPDATE:
TomTom offers GPS for iPhone—and it's ready to roll now. Info here.

I love good marketing:

apple dropped the price of the iphone by 200 dollars.

and had ATT raise the rate $10/month

net cost of new phone 440 dollars, or 40 more then before

The $10 pays for quicker speeds, though.

But you're right, it will cost more in the long run.

Too bad AT&T's coverage stinks. They are worst among the big 4 in my area.
