Now that Nissan's awesome GT-R has set a new record for fastest 'Ring lap ever by a production vehicle, how long before we see a wave of pro racers coincidentally at the fabled German public circuit driving perfectly prepped factory samples?
Ever find yourself tooling along and suddenly wondering "Dude, where's my Boxster?" Robert Farago of The Truth About Cars says no need to worry about that in the new Porsche Cayenne GTS.

Talk about being rudely jolted back to reality, Winding Road's question of the day has to do with the proposal for a summer holiday from the Nanny State's gas tax. Hmmm. How about a permanent holiday from the Nanny State?

And if we don't get that holiday from the Nanny State, 200 Weeks - a UK blog written by a Bobby - has a long list of the many ways Brit drivers get socked. And it's not just the speed cameras that have snared 9.8 million drivers and generated more than 800 million pounds in revenue for "the government."

Over at The View Through the Windshield, Joe Sherlock is in an "I-told-you-so" mood and with good reason, considering what's happening to SUV and truck sales these days.

Eric Peters, who has his own excellent blog at EPA, pops up on the National Motorist Association blog wondering if plug-in hybrids really will save us all from high gas prices. Eric offers several reasons why the answer isn't the one a lot of folks think it is.
