I remember reading about this a while back, in an article pertaining to Japanese-spec Hondas equipped with this capability. Now this very worthwhile feature is coming here...

That's great if you can get a cow in your back seat. As to the dog (or cow), would you rather give up a seatbelt to either, at the expense of leaving someone at home?
Also, the dog and cow can't tell you what you're getting. There's big difference between a thunder storm, tornado, flooded or icy roads.

Why won't this be added on the 09 TL? That just happens to be the car that fits me best. And it's a comparative bargain.

I think it will be on the 2009 TL as the navi units are similar. Look for it on the RDX and MDX also within the next couple of years.
