Hey, Insiders,
IL spent a day driving the one-and-only million dollar Land Rover LRX Concept vehicle in New York City.
It has a diesel-hybrid powertrain and will purportedly get 50 mpg. Its visually futuristic design looks as if it is caught in a wind tunnel.
What do you think?..

Isuzu came up with this type of car many moons ago, not sure if anyone can remember it. I sure can't recall the name. Anyway, this car is beautiful, only if the actually production car can look this good. Very small SUV yet stylish. Perhaps the next LR3 can look this good too?

You're right. They called it the Vehicross.

Looks nice but you cant help but wonder if LR is straying away from their heritage to attract customers. I think thats a mistake.

Why not a nice variation on the LR theme that's a bit smaller, delivers much better MPG, and hopefully weighs less without loosing rigidity?
LR buyers can always opt for the "classic" versions.

If only honda could make it's cr-v look this good.(heck, i'd settle for 1/3 as good!)

I remember reading somewhere before that the first generation CR-V was a copycat of the Freelander, except Honda (when Honda had contracts with Rover/Sterling) rushed the CR-V much quicker to the market.

Don't produce it - but build a 4 door model inspired by this styling. This is the perfect evolution - the LR future look.
