AFS Trinity Power 'Extreme Hybrid' gets 150 mpg



150 mpg is a pretty bold claim, but that's what AFS Trinity Power is saying here. In addition, their new SUV is capable of 0-60-mph times under 7 seconds. AFS Trinity Power's new SUV features a trick new "Fast Energy Storage" system. On electric power alone the Extreme Hybrid has a 40-mile range and in hybrid mode it has an extended range of 400 miles...

WOW, what a concept! So, what we have here is a plug-in modification, basically a press relese fishing for investors and partners. I wish there was some way to report the mpgs of these things in a meaningful way.

Isn't it more accurately 150 miles per gallon AND fully charged battery pack? What is the gasoline equivelant energy stored in the battery? These MPG shenanigans are sooooo 2007.
