CES is the world's largest consumer technology tradeshow - more than 140,000 people attend. The scope of this show is simply enormous, it makes the North American International Auto Show look like a high school prom by comparison.
While the focus at CES is consumer electronics in general, in-car technology is clearly playing a larger role. A few years ago, every executive at every auto show was using the term DNA to describe their new cars and concepts - at CES, the buzz word is connected...

Connected is good, but integrated is even better.
Having 12 devices that are all connected is a pain.
Having 12 functions integrated in to one device (that is also internet connected) is a lot better.
