Oh, the humanity!
Some unfortunate "man child" (internal marketing term used by Subaru to describe STI/ WRX customers) wrecked his brand new JDM Subaru STI. The car had just 282km on it.
Some (not me) are saying the car looks better now than when new.

Looks like he got rearended. At least it wasn't his fault. Maybe that means the other guy's insurance agency will just buy him a brand new one.

Those aren't factory wheels and tires. He (or she) sure got bitten by the mod bug quickly!

Wow, an STI with character!
That's definately totalled. I'd bet there'll be a front clip available on eBay shortly.

It takes damage well. I don't see a whole lot of penetration into the passenger compartment. Guess that reinforces Subaru's safety record.

I think we need a new headline.
"How they stopped Suby from taking the STI".

Looks like a mountain pass powerslide gone a bit too far.

There's a reason these cars are nicknamed Subura Wrexes..
Check out how many crashed damaged ones are for sale on ebay. Not a fault of the cars, but the drivers who think that just cuz they got one, they are instantly a WRC driver.

I'm not a WRC driver? So sad. :(
Time to watch highlights of Petter "Hollywood" Solberg for more inspiration! :o)

More car than driver sadly. I agree, not the fault of the car. People who buy cars like this (not all, but many) tend to think that their skills automatically match the car. Oddly enough, I've seen some of the very worst drivers in the highest performance cars. Sad.
Oh, and I'd be one of the people who thinks it looks better that way. Its a good thing its wicked fast, because seeing it only as a blur is easier on the eyes.

I dont get why people hate the looks of the new subby.
were the old subby's works of art before? IMHO subby's were never good looking cars to begin with, so to say this one looks worse is being blind to that fact.
its just different

Me neither. It's just become a cliché to say Subies are ugly. It's a knee-jerk reaction with little or no thought behind it.
I'll be the first to admit that some of the styling "details" could have been better worked out. Those issues, however, do not an ugly car make.
estreka says:

For the record, I don't think it's ugly. It's just bland.
I've seen Corollas with more visual impact. Case in point:
