More 2009 Subaru Forester images

A whole slew of new scanned images of the 2009 Forester have shown up over at NASIOC. Some of these images are from the same brochure that was posted on Straightline earlier (here and here), but are much clearer and show more views of the vehicle as well. The other new images give a much better sense of what the complete vehicle looks like, including an interior shot.

The more I see, the more I like. I suspect Subaru will have a real hit on their hands with this new model. One of my early concerns, is a non-issue; that being that it has a decent rear 3/4-window, so rear outward visibility should still be quite good. The vehicle looks finally to be "right-sized," and the styling is not likely to raise any eyebrows in disgust or horror.

In fact early responses over at NASIOC based upon these images are quite positive—which is saying something, as many over there have been among the most vocal critics of the new Impreza's styling.

Links here and here. More images after the jump.

UPDATE: These latest after the jump images can be found here.

It's probably just the angle, but rear legroom appears to be wanting. It's a nice crossover, but I think I liked it better before.

The interior image here appears to have the front seats pushed all the way back.

I've heard from people close to this vehicle, and they're saying it's much roomier than the old model.

is it just me or does that front end look like some weird mix between a suzuki grand vitara and an acura rdx???

Lookin' good.

Note the stadium seating - the rear seats are much higher than the front. Reminds me of the Xterra's rear seat in this manner.

Also note they already have 2 grilles for it (Subaru always does this).

The rear view is a bit generic but I like it from every other angle. Thumbs up.

Are the 2 grilles plans A and B, or two different trim lines? Comparing the red & silver machines (last image before the jump in this thread) makes me think that the silver one is more road-oriented, while the red one is more "ruggedised" -- especially given the brush guard thing on the rear bumper and no lip spolers. But all the turbo ones have the Tribeca grille and black undertreatment. But I do like the hood scoop (well-incorporated).

I still prefer the current grille, but on the whole, thumbs up.

They have many variations in Japan, so I wonder if we will even see half of those.

I think the XT/turbo models are the sporty ones with the black mesh grille and the LL Bean is the ruggedized one with the rubber-lined cargo area.
