Evel Knievel dead at 69

Robert Craig "Evel" Knievel dies at 69 of liver failure. Knievel. He had been in failing health for the last several years.

Knievel, the hard-living stunt-jumping motorcyclist, was best known for his failed 1974 attempt to jump the Snake River Canyon, his spectacular crashes at Caesar's Palace in Las Vegas, as well as the 40 or so broken bones that he accumulated over the years motorcycle jumping...
He retired in 1980, and his son Robbie is carrying on the family tradition of stunt jumping and rabble-rousing.

I watched Evel do many stunts back in his day. He will always be remembered as one of the great showman.
 
At the time though, I would have never believed he would have the chance to die of natural causes.
