These spy photos reveal what looks to be the upcoming Cadillac BRX crossover. Smaller than the SRX, the BRX is expected to ride on the stretched version of GMâs Theta platform that currently underpins the Saturn Vue. In fact, a Vue was spotted along side the BRX prototype before both vehicles headed for cover. A combination of four-cylinder and V6 engines will be offered in the BRX as well as front- and all-wheel drive. Cadillac plans to position the BRX as an entry-level model that will compete against other luxury crossovers like the Acura RDX, BMW X3 and Mercedes-Benz GLK. Expect to see the 2010 Cadillac BRX in showrooms by 2009.

Sorry, but the target audience wants something a bit bigger that will compete against the Infiniti FX35 and Acura MDX. The current Cadillac SRX looks goofy and frankly looks like a gussied up station wagon.

the fx35 doesn't compete much with the mdx considering the mdx is much bigger and drives more like an suv where the fx35 drives like a car

Infiniti just debuted the EX35 to compete with this.
Except the EX is RWD.
Is this just the FWD Vue?

"Is this just the FWD Vue?"
No. The information in this caption is wrong. The BRX is on the TE platform. The TE platform is AWD.

alittle hard to tell at this point if it is indeed the BRX but I have good faith that it is the real deal. When better shots come out we'll know for sure. until then we'll just have to specualte but a good clue in identifying a prototype cadillac is its headlights and tailights more of ten the tailights because of their vertical shape which is usually nearly identical on most cadillacs

oh and whats up with the overuse of X lately MKX, RDX, X3, now BRX personally i'm getting sick of names that end with an X other than that this car looks great

gm guy, X usually stands for crossover.... MDX, RDX, X3, FX, EX, SRX, BRX, ALL CROSSOVERS. Only exception is the Inifniti QX...
The engines for this should be the 260hp turbo ecotec but hopefully with 6MT and 6AT instead of the 5MT and 4AT. Also the 3.6DI in the CTS with 300+ hp is a good option but only with AWD.
To go with Caddy's naming, i think it shold be the CRX but sadly, honda has that one.... And instead of the BLS, it should be ATS (Alpha Touring Sedan) or something.
This vehicle seems intersting! I just hope it is more Caddy than VUE which is possible!

autoboy, X also ussually stands for awd, like on many of the bmw's
so X just fits well for an awd crossover

Since this entryl-lux crossover is FWD based it should come with AWD as standard equipment. I hope this is as well executed as the CTS.
Cah11705, drive an MDX Sport.....it will suprise you!
