Musical road

Oh those silly Japanese; always coming up with something totally off the wall—or in this case off the road.

They've somehow managed to build a road that plays music as you drive over it. There are small grooves in the road surface, positioned between 6 and 12mm apart, which emit an audible sound when a vehicle passes over them. The size of the gap between each groove affects the pitch of the sound so it’s possible to make out an entire song as long as there's enough road ahead...
Now you gotta be thinking why highway engineers in Nashville (assuming there are highway engineers in Nashville) hadn't thought of this?

hmmm. I could see applications for this. Not just a rumble but a sound when coming up to a toll both or a light.

if bystanders can hear it. Then it could solve the hybrid problem. have tones play by cross walks where blind people are.
