Motor home builders such as Winnebago, Fleetwood, Thor and Four Winds all prefer the Ford motor home chassis upon which to build their mobile mansions.
Ford offers six different motor home-specific chassis, right up to the just introduced F53 Super Duty Class A chassis (pictured above) which has a GVW of 26,000 pound. That folks, is the same GVW as a Ford F-650.

Weren't they having all sorts of problems with diesel engine supply? Wonder if those are diesel powered?

The link mentioned V10-powered, but there probably is a diesel option.

I'm surprised they would choose Ford over Chevy (Duramax) and the Dodge (Cummins). Modern diesels are tailor made for for these beasts and Chevy and Dodge are way better then Ford.
The Ford 6.8 V10 is completely outclassed here.

Neither Chevy nor Dodge makes a chassis that can best Ford though. The engine is more of a package deal here.
