It was nail-biting time there for a while, but at the end of the day, Chrysler workers finally decided that this dealâwhile not ideal by any stretchâwas better than the alternative. The landmark UAW agreement was approved by 56 percent of production workers and 51 percent of skilled trades workers. I doubt it. Where are they going to find a job with the pay and benefits that they're still going to get? This is especially true for Michigan.

I haven't read the details on the proposal, but from what I understand, their benefits were reduced significantly. They're even in command of their own retirement (think Social Security Act Bush tried to pass a few years ago).
