So wait, where's the little post that sticks into the groove in the track?... What? That isn't a slot car!?!? Man that thing is fast. It will be fun to see it go up against the new Nissan GT-R

You do see the rear end break a little a few times... but appears to be very well under control.

No joke. That thing is screaming. Anybody get a lap time? I'm betting it's comparable to a C5R. Maybe faster.

The GT-R wouldnt be positioned against this car as it would be compared to a standard duty Z06. This ZR1 is just WICKED! If the Z06 is a hammer the ZR1 is a jackhammer. Bye bye Viper SRT-10!

I don't agree with that assessment. You bring the best car you got. Back up all that faster than a GT2 talk. The GT2 costs more than the ZR1, so what's the problem with comparing it to the cheaper car? Apart from the potential of being smoked by a Chevy...

Desmo, Nissan reports even higher states of tune for near future versions of the GT-R and the fact that the current Z06 and GT-R should be simular in price.

GT-R /911T /Z06

GT-R Spec-V /911 GT2 /ZR-1

Using your logic I could compare a Veyron to a Z06.

Yes they do, they claim the top dog GT-R will make 530-ish hp and cost about $90k (this is taken from one of the original Edmunds articles). So it will be in the same ball park money wise as the ZR1, but unless it has a major weight loss or power boost, it will not compare to the Vette's estimated 650 hp.
What's wrong with my logic? Even before this happens, I think it's funny that you only want to compare it to cars that it may be quicker than. You seem happy to be able to compare it to a $150K Porsche but have problems comparing it to an upcoming $90K Vette...

you are the one dont getting wrong in your own logic desmolicious.
acura is saying the base gtr is not the contender for the new zr 1
but the v spec is the one who could , they almost the same price and bove are cheaper then the gt 2 .whith the same performance .
who will be the better one is a question of taste.
between the awd and the fr layout no one whith sain discerniment would say thats the fr would take vantage on a track or on a montain road.awd are only comparable on a race whith the mr layout, but bove had not even a fraction of the fun of the fr !!!
power speaking the vette would wash out the gtr whitout any doubt do!!
oww and its a much better lookingthing too!!
