2007 Tokyo Auto Show: Suzuki and the Kitchen Sink

An evolution of the Concept Kizashi recently shown at the Frankfurt Motor Show, the Kizashi 2 looks a bit more real-world and, according to Suzuki, is "a sign that Suzuki is going to change." We think that means Suzuki is going to produce a crossover sport wagon based off this production car. That will be a change.

There was also the Suzuki Pixy, which is a one-person transport device, and the Suzuki SSC (Suzuki Sharing Coach), which is sort of like the ultimate carpool car. These two vehicles can be paired to create "personal, shareable urban transportation in line with the Japanese Ministry of Economy." Hmmm, vehicles that can marry and separate at will. This might work for more than just cars.

Then there was the Suzuki X-Head, an off-road, open-bed small utility vehicle that is sort like a Honda Element meets Honda Ridgeline. Everything from camping to rescue service is part of the X-Head's duty roster.

Finally, the Suzuki Palette is a small van that is supposed to look cool while also being family-friendly.

Suzuki also showed off its SX4 WRC car that will compete in the 2008 World Rally Championship.
