2007 SEMA Show: 'Cuda Concept

Since you've probably had it with all those Dodge Challenger concepts, we present the 2008 Concept ‘Cuda. That’s right, no brand needed, just a really bright orange paint job and some 22-inch wheels. It’s pretty much the same as the Challenger underneath the skin, but in this case the skin is carbon fiber instead of that old rusty steel stuff. There’s a 6.1-liter Hemi V8 underneath the hood of course and a pistol grip shifter too...

Six-piston Brembo brakes reside up front and the rear tires are meaty 305/35 Pirelli PZeros. It’s almost enough to make you wish Plymouth was still around. Almost. -- Ed Hellwig, Senior Editor , Inside Line

How 'bout a Chrysler 'Cuda? We need more pics. Also, is this from Chrysler group or an independent customizer? The tail looks a little long and the roof looks a little like the Camaro, but the concept's still pretty sweet.

This Sema Cuda shaker scoop on the Chrysler concept was made for the new Chargers and Magnums by Danko Reproductions Inc (Danko Direct) and is sold on Ebay

That shaker scoop looks cool on this car. It looks absolutely ridiculous on the current Charger and Magnum, or on a four-door anything for that matter. All I can think of when I see that is cheezy hood scoops, go-wings and custom wheels on some guys 318 powered 69 Plymouth Belvedere sedan that he wants so desperately to look like a real Roadrunner.

The Challenger should be out within the next six months or so. That Shaker hood would look outstanding on that. It would be great if they'd also build the Cuda, but that would go against the current Chrysler think of eliminating duplicate models.
