Upscale Russian community bans Russian cars

File this under "You just can't make up this stuff..."

Zolotye Klyuchi 2 (Golden Keys), a spiffy community that caters to Moscow's rich and famous, has banned domestic vehicles from the premises.

The management at the Golden Keys states that Russian cars pose "a significant danger to the environment, creating high noise levels." In addition, and because of their unreliability, they are also responsible for "traffic jams on the territory of the complex."

Russia has so far to go. This might actually be a wise move. The only worse cars out there are Chinese automobiles. And that's a bit of a tossup.

Russian better then Chinese??!!! You're kidding right???
 
Chinese cars are mostly 10 year old copies of Japanese (or Korean)designs.
 
Russian cars are 30 to 40 year copies of Italian designs. (and a few pos homebrews).
