...And yet still another Subaru STI image



Suffering from "STI info overload" yet? Well, here's one more image that you will either love or hate, depending on your STI tolerance, and/or stance on the model.

This image is important for two reasons:

• It appears to be an "teaser" shot from Subaru that was leaked on to the Internet. That being the case, it's the first "official" glamor shot of this car from the manufacturer.

• The image is a high-drama image, and appears to be aimed at a more mature and sophisticated audience, rather than testosterone-charged teenyboppers with deep pockets.

Designer speaking here: The Subaru logo in the grille now sits in a cradle with a hint of a wing tip at the top, which I think is an improvement over what we see on other Impreza grilles. The only thing I would have done here is angle that new tip a bit more so that it aligns better with the line coming off the hood scoop—so that it looks like it leads directly to the hood scoop, and vice-versa. Yeah, it's a small detail, but it's those kind of details that can make a design great, or keep it just average.
