Suzuki calls the Splash its fourth world car in recent years. Hoping to capitalize on the relative success of the Wagon R, the Splash is a multipurpose vehicle that will likely appeal to those with small families and a limited budget -- maybe that's redundant.
For now, the Splash is not headed to the U.S. But given the popularity of cars like the Honda Fit and Nissan Versa plus newcomers like the Kia Rondo, it wouldn't be much of a stretch to see this car on U.S. roads within the next few years...
No matter where it's sold, the Splash is truly a world car with regard to its assembly. The car shares a platform with the Suzuki Swift, is built in Hungary and offers a diesel engine that will be built in India under license from FIAT.
That engine is a 1.3-liter common rail diesel; two gas engines are also offered, a 1.0-liter three-cylinder engine and a 1.2-liter inline-4 engine.
The interior is fairly typical for an economy car but there is a snazzy, aftermarket-looking tach -- Brian Moody, Road Test Editor

Reminds me of the Toyota Aygo, but this looks bigger.

The Clio is the only subcompact car I can say I truly like, aesthetically. Most others look like a Toyota with their overweight curves. The tiny wheels don't help.
Edit: And the Mini! Can't forget the Mini.
