Although this Frankfurt auto show marks the world premiere of the 457-hp 2008 Mercedes-Benz C63 AMG, the highly anticipated sedan was not part of the 14-hour-long Mercedes press conference. It wasn't even mentioned. But we found one. It's hidden away on the third floor of the epic Mercedes display, which takes up an entire hall the size of the Superdome...
The C63 packs a 6.2-liter V8, a seven-speed automatic transmission, 19-inch wheels and 14.2-inch front brake rotors. Benz says it sprints from zero to 62 mph in just 4.5 seconds. A car with such stats deserves to be part of the show, don't you think?--Scott Oldham, Inside Line Editor in Chief

Is it just me or has AMG become so saturated in Mercedes' line-up that a new, predictable model doesnt excite?

Very true bmwrulz as I believe just about every Mercedes model is offered in AMG trim. Certainly not as exclusive as AMGs in the past.

Interesting point, I wonder how exclusive they are any more.
I guess they have Maybach if you want that.
I like the new C, but any more than a C350 seems like overkill to me, at least in the non-autobahn world I live in.
