Nissan will be showing this striking electric Mixim concept at Frankfurt. Think of it as sort of Nissan's take on the Chevy Volt, but more geared toward the computer game crowd.
Powered by a compact lithium-ion battery pack that drives two electric "Super Motors," which powers each axle, the Mixim therefore becomes an all-wheel-drive vehicle.
The styling is sure to evoke much discussion, as does many recent Nissan designs...
Will we ever see it, or something like it, in Nissan showrooms? Nissan is not saying, but I wouldn't hold my breath...
Here's Inside Line's take: Nissan Mixim

It's a bit bizarre, but that's OK, it's a concept after all.
I don't really like the roof line or the kink in the rear wheel fender.
Interestingly enough it looks like a Nissan. The rear window reminds me of a Versa. Good job keeping a corporate identity.

Wow, is that an UGLY car!! Looks like a futurist's idea ofan electric iron. With limited range and obsolete li ion 1st generation batteries, I really don't think the folks on the VOLT development team are going to respond to this concept car with anything by uprorious laughter.
Nissan can't be serious.

A Versa with a gigantic front bumper and Honda Insight rear end. Check out the "rear side windows". Funky.
