Inside Line has posted some images and info on the upcoming '09 Toyota Sequoia. Not surprisingly, the vehicle looks like a Tundra station wagon. It's supposed to take on the Tahoe, Expedition and Armada, but I can't help but think that they would also like to syphon off a few Suburban customers too, as it looks huge.
Hmmm... I wonder what that small square opening is on the lower left of grille in the bumper is? Might it be a plug for a possible cold weather diesel hook up? (Note: I've seen other spy photos of this vehicle without that small box in the lower bumper grille, which, I think, gives more credence to the diesel theory.)

I don't think that's a diesel at all - my money's on laser-based cruiser control, which has spotty availability throughout the Toyota empire; that theory's relatively credible, too, if only because that appears to be an up-level trim in that top photo.

Could someone explain Toyota's truck-based SUV lineup to me? Is it 4Runner, Land Cruiser, and Sequoia in order of size?

Just an FYI - thats the NEW, '08 Highlander specs, for those who didn't know....
The specs for the Land Cruiser and Seqouia will be changing.

The Sequoia is larger of course than the Land Cruiser but the Land Cruiser is Toyotas flagship SUV.

Modern diesel engines don't need plugger to start.

The car looks good. It is more bigger and bolder. I wonder what new features are incorporated with it? How is its performance and handling? Fuel mileage? I hope Toyota would give further review regarding this new ride! Anyways, Toyota is known for its quality car and car parts like toyota cornering lights - so I'm sure this would be another car that enthusiasts would love to see and drive.

The outgoing Sequoia is sort of an inbetween size so this makes sense. It was too close in size to its own siblings.
