Omg, that's a lot of money.

I think I can honestly say no. Why is there an RS4 convertible anyway?

No. I'd rather add $10k and buy the Range Rover.....or I'd save $10k and get the RS4 sedan!

Or take the BMW 335i convertible, add a Vishnu chip, sport up the suspension a bit and have a better performing car for about $15K less. Plus it has a folding metal roof.
How much heavier is the Audi over the BMW? 300lbs? (I don't know)

No, thank you. Mondo Ripoff, this Audi.

For a lot less , I can have an '08 Saturn Redline Sky __and__ either an '08 Evo 10 or Subie WTX STI, all 3 of which offer a lot of fast driving fun and (in case of Subie and to lesser extent, Evo) some practicality.

With dealer markup (with only 300 Cabriolets coming here, they will - VW's stale trick to boost profits), the difference lets the Sky become a BMW 335i.

Desmo, yeah the RS4 cab is 4300 lbs. It's a fatter pig than the fat piggy RS4 sedan.

Speaking of a Sky...the other day I saw one at a stoplight. He was first at the light, sitting there rolling back and forth for the light to change. The driver was younger - 30s and he had a lady-friend with him. Everyone seemed to be watching them - mostly because his car was rolling back and forth at a red light. The guy really seemed to be preening. Then an Elise rolled up beside him. Seriously, you could see the macho leave this Saturn Sky Redline owner's face.

The sky driver looked downright angry suddenly. He revved his engine. The light changed and he chirped his tires peeling away. The Elise gently pulled away, the 50-ish driver looking totally unconcerned by the idiot in the lane next to him. He knew his car had it all over the downright bland Saturn in every way - acceleration, handling, looks.

4300lbs? Holy moley! what is that thing made of, lead ingots? Remember the time when Audi was bragging about their use of aluminium to make their cars weigh less than their competitors?
A stock 335i may be able to outperform/out brake/out handle that SUV in disguise....

If I had $83,000 would I buy it? Hell no! Not only is too heavy, it doesn't have the performance or the looks of a car in that range. For $83,000 or less, I would rather take a Corvette Z06, possibly a Viper, buy a Shelby GT500 and mod it up, or an M5, or some old classic or exotic, or maybe a bunch of cars. Any of thes options is a better use of the $83,000 than the RS4 would ever be.

The RS4 sedan and convertible are both way too pricey. Both should be at least $15K lower.

I'd pay off the mortgage on our beach condo.

Too bad I can't have both, this would be nice to have at the beach!

Is that condo on Salton Sea?
