Inside Line Contributor Ken Gross drove the new Maserati GranTurismo through the Italian Alps.
Fast, powerful, comfortable and designed by legendary Pininfarina. She's a real beauty.
I'll take mine with the optional Salvatore Ferragamo luggage.

*DROOL!* How gorgeous IS this car?! This is absolutely my favorite exotic (aside from the F430) at this time. The design is just beautiful! This Maser puts the others to shame... The photos of this drive are magnificent! *sigh* I'd love to take this car out through those turns!

Dang! Only criticism re. the article.. drag coefficient of .33 is not impressive in this day and age.

I totally agree, desmolicious. My 2004 Subaru Impreza, which is not by any means a high standard in aerodynamic efficiency, has the same drag coefficient.
But I will add that the USDM MY2004 Subaru Impreza which introduced the first facelift of the second-generation Impreza (the fact that I have to use the word "first" there is a thing in itself) was designed by Peter Stevens who only designed the McLaren F1 among his other projects. If I remember correctly, the 2003-2004 Subaru Impreza WRC rally cars were regarded as superior compared to the rest of the WRC field regarding their aerodynamic efficiency.
Sometimes a high drag coefficient (not the usual case though) may suggest that the vehicle is generating a lot of downforce through its body shape (and not underside).

Another example of a great looking car, in which a front license plate would absolutely ruin the front end styling.

I like the car, its ok, but not to the extent that the reviewer gushed over the car's lines. Somehow I like the Quattroporte styling better. But if it were my money in this class, I would get an Aston Martin Vantage. But still looks better than the car it replaces.

The model turns ugly by standing in front of this car.

Such a magestic car. Maserati has really turned things around. I still hate the fact that the cupholders are right in front of the shifter, though.

For some reason when I see this car Im reminded of the Infiniti G37, which certainly isnt a bad thing.

It's the front quarters, methinks. I was thinking 350Z, but G37 is a much better take.

I've heard Maserati owners tend to use theirs as a daily driver... therefore you should buy one as a long term tester. After the Ford GT maybe?

That car looks seriously peeved off, no? I wouldn't want to make it angry. LOL
Nice mountain road shot...

Follow-up question - I want a hi-res version of that last shot for my desktop, yet it's not in the article. A little help?
