Spy photos: Twin turbo BMW 7 Series spotted at the Nurburgring

Our latest spy photos from the Nurburgring reveal an interesting bit of information about the 2010 BMW 7 Series. It appears as though the 7 Series will get a twin turbo V8 when it goes on sale in 2009. Two big intercoolers up front are a clear tip off, but we couldn't verify which V8 is sitting behind them. Our best guess at this point?..
It's the M3's 4.0-liter unit as it already cranks out around 415hp in normally aspirated form, so a turbocharged version with 500+ horsepower is clearly feasible.

Not much left of those tires. Could this model be an M7?

Turbocharging seems to be quite popular these days and BMWs 3.0 TT virtually sets the standard and this proposed new V8 TT should be no different. Someone please talk me into a 335i sedan......

This makes me wonder if the M cars will ever get forced induction. BMW's turbocharged engines are clearly great. Stay tuned, folks.

I dont think the M series will ever get forced induction as its all about high revs and that brassy exhaust note.

And it still has that ugly hump-backed trunk. Sadly that's the view most people will have!
